REVERED GURUDEV YUG RISHI PANDIT SHRI RAM SHARMA ACHARYA
Born in a village, Anwalkheda near Agra, in India, 1911, took unusual interest in spiritual devotion and social service right from childhood. Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya solemnized yagyopawit (sacred thread) ceremony and initiated in (Gayatri sacred vedic hymn).
A visionary and reformer, he realized that we need to think in righteous ways. We need revolution of thoughts and trends and he put into action its every essential element in his life at the age of fifteen. At this very age, on the day of Basant Parva of 1926, while he was engrossed in morning prayer, he had first divine meeting with his spiritual guide, Swami Sarveshwranand. The spiritual master from inaccesible Himalaya explained him about his previous birth as Sant Kabir, Samartha Guru Ram Das & Swami Ram Krishna Paramhans. According to his direction & guidance he experimented on Gayatri Mantra (sound energy), the cosmic force and the science of reciting Gayatri Mantra over 7000 times per day, 365 days per year, for 24 years. During this meditation he contempleted rising golden sun (savita) of dawn, spreading of its golden rays, throughout and he ate only of bread made from of grain and buttermilk. After this meditation, he realized the vast knowledge and powers contained in 24 letters of Gayatri mantra and its relationship to the sun, yagnopathy (heat energy) and the physical science of modern time.
To materialize his knowledge, he wrote monumental literature family welfare, moral education, social and he has written and published over 3000 small and big books encompassing complete spectrum of human and its solution with fire of his spiritual power in of science and logic. Recently 108 volumes of 500 pages each of Vangmay complete encyclopaedia on Science of Gayatri Philosophy- in Hindi language is published by Akhand jyoti Sansthan, Mathura; India.
He started the monthly magazine "Akhand Jyoti" in 1940 and wrote 18,000 articles in it to give new direction to millions of people and courage to follow the path of righteousness. Writings in these literature have created the thinking revolution in millions of people not seen or hard any where in the world.
Shri Ram Sharma devoted 17 years of his life as front line freedom fighter with Mahatma Gandhi and shared a prison cell with Mahatma Gandhi. He embarked upon the task of social with the blessing of Mahatma Gandhi. He enunciated the principle that reformation of the self will lead to the reformation of the society, and accordingly chalked out programs for the reconstruction of the society through the reformation of the individual and the family. He totally dedicated himself to this cause and became the harbinger of social, moral and spiritual revolution. Formulated and materialized Yug Nirman Yojna ( A program for resurgence of the individual, family, society and the world at large). Established Gayatri Pariwar, an organization of devoted people in 1940 which has now working centers in more than 100 countries.
He developed and practiced the disciplines of Upasana (true worship), Sadhana (correct life) and Arahdana (service of humanity). Visited the Himalayas four times for the higher spiritual attainment under the guidance of the spiritual master. Developed spirituality as "a science and Art of Living". He proved in broad daylight the key principle of his philosophy "Let us change to make a better world".
He was honored and awarded honorary doctorate degrees in alternative medicine, psychology, literature, religion, etc. Helped and obliged innumerable persons in getting rid of worldly difficulties, pain and sufferings and advancing them on moral, righteous, spiritual practice during the transitional (Yug- Sandhi) period. Generated mighty power by Sookshmikaran Sadhana (high level spiritual process for transforming the physical form into astral one) and ultimately abandoned physical body on Gayatri Jayanti (June 2, 1990) in pursuance of the commandment of Mahakal (Almighty God) to accelerate the process of reviving the Golden Age (sat Yug) in the twenty-first century (twenty first century: bright future); by his astral and causal body.
Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, ex- president of India, has devoted two chapters to Rev. Gurudev in the book entitled 'Deshmani'. Dr. Sharma had also released a commemorative postal stamp in honor of Achayashri in June, 1992 when he was vice president of India.
VANDNIYA MATA BHAGWATI DEVI SHARMA
The most respected and loved Bhagwati Devi Sharma was the wife of Shri Ram Sharma Acharya. Bhagwati Devi had helped Shri Ram Sharma in his life all the way. She had been the right hand of Shri Ram Sharma and put her shoulder to the wheel all undertakings of Shri Ram Shrama. She totally dedicated herself to her husband's moral education programs. Bhagavati Devi was a living ideal of selfless devotion to excellence and to internal glow of self control. Mata Bhagwati Devi and Shri Ram had created the beautiful symphony of the era to purify and enrich the trust and emotional dimension of the human race.
A pioneer of spiritual reaissance and the guiding spirit behind the reconstruction programs for a resurgent society. Bhagwati Devi Shrama was first lady in the world to lead revolution of moral thinking in millions of people through hard work, understanding, courage and honesty. She successfully directed activities of the mission through out the world. Bhagwati Devi made every possible effort to improve womanhood around the world, because there is no chance the welfare of the world unless the condition of its women improved. Her entire life had been in service of others, she was an ideal for womanhood.
She started the Dev Sanskriti Digvijay Abhiyyan; a global awakening movement initiated in Nov. 1992 with the aim to unite all humanity as one love-knit family. Over 28 Ashwamedha Yagyas performed so far in India & abroad with over a million participants. Grandest celebration in these series were held in Nov. 95 at Awalkheda, Agra, India; (birth place of Rev. Gurudev) and attended by leading luminaries from all walks of life.
She lived a eternal life she devoted every moment of her life in the service of human race & blessed millions of peoples around-the-world to help them in their problems & to uplift their spiritual dimension at the same time. And finally walked on the blazing flames on September 19, 1994 to break physical limitations, which were becoming hurdle in the subtle world to bring promised change, to initiate golden era in twenty first century.
