CHETANYA TIRTHA, GAYATRI TAPO BHOOMI, MATHURA, INDIA:

Gayatri Tapobhoomi, Mathura; India

Chetanya Tirtha, Gayatri Tapobhoomi, Mathura, UP, (INDIA) was established by Rev. Gurudev at the conclusion of 24 Gayatri Mahapurashcharan in 1950. The holy water and soil of 2400 pilgrimages belonging to varied sects, religions, through out the India, were collected & established in the temple of Gayatri Tapobhoomi complex.

Akhand Agni, (Inextinguishable Fire) was also placed at the Yagyashala of the Tapobhoomi complex. This fire had been brought from a very sacred place in the Himalayas. It is kept burning uninterruptedly ever since.

24,000 million Gayatri mantras written by ardent worshippers had been preserved here. The seed of the ever-flourishing Gayatri Pariwar was sown here through the performance of a Narmedh Yagya in 1956 and a grand Sahastrakundiya (1008- kundiya) Yagya in 1958. The 1958 Yagya drew lakhs of aspirating souls to the Gaytri Pariwar. About 400,000 persons participated in this Yagya. Immediately thereafter 10,000 centers/branches of the Gayatri mission were opened throughout the India. After getting back from the journey of the Himalayas & meeting with the immortal Rishis there, Rev. Gurudev declared in his scheme of Yug Nirman Yojna (construction of era) . The Gayatri mission manifesto was published in 1963 in the forms of Yug Nirman Satsankalp & Gayatri Tapobhoomi got converted into a training for worker, Yug Shilpi(architect of new era) of the mission. Rev. Gurudev decided to finally bid good bye to Mathura (to proceed again to the Himalayas for at least a year's retreat) & handed over all responsibility to Suryaketu (poojya Pt. Lilapat Sharma). Since his departure, to Shantikunj, a great construction has been developed and one can observe his life potency in each molecule. One can find a huge Pragya nagar, Yug nirman vidyalaya and large offset machines to print literature of yug nirman being written by Rev. Gurudev through out his life and also after his departure( by Poojya Pt. Lilapat Sharma) to fulfill the great task of Yug Parivartan (change of the Era). In 1996, Prakhar Pragya & Sajal Shraddha ( smarak of Gurudev's & Mataji's) established in Gayatri Tapobhoomi & a seven point revolutionary program for ensuring the golden era (Sat Yug ) was also disseminated.

Poojya PanditJi is tirelessly busy in performing the magnanimous, work to disseminate the Gurudev's message of Vichar Kranti (revolution in the thinking process of the people by eradicating perverted thinking and replacing it with clean thinking).

Gyan Yagya (Light of knowledge) is the greatest pious work in this world. Rev. Gurudev Shri Ram Sharma Acharya declared that the new era is coming in this earth only with good thought. For that reason he wrote inspiring literature (more than 3000 books) and started Gyan Yagya moment in this world. According to Rev.Gurudev Shree Ram Acharya the root cause of today's innumerable problems is only one -i.e. "perverted thinking". The solution for its eradication is 'to straighten the inverted thinking by inverting it', by means of vicharkranti'(the peaceful revolution in the thinking process by wiping out perverted thinking and replacing it with clean thinking). This will only be possible by Gyan Yagya's (light of knowledge) Gyan Mashal(torch of learning).

The Torch of Learning (Gyan Mashal: Main symbol of Gayatri Mission) was lit by Rev. Gurudev Pandit Shree Ram Sharma Acharya at Gayatii Tapobhoomi Mathura. In 1971 all this Gyan yagya's fully responsibility handed over to the Suryaketu, Pandit Lilapat Sharma, organizer of Gayatri Tapobhoomi, Mathura (India); by P.P.Gurudev before going to Himalaya for penance.

Pt Lilapat Sharma Amrit Mahotsav Samiti, (Dr. Satish Shukla, convenor) Bhind; MP India; handed over the Gyan Mashal to Pt. Lilapat Sharma on April 4, 98 in Amrit Mahotsav Samaroh. On April-16, 1998, in Satkar Samaroh (function of welcome) Pandit Lilapat Sharma handed over this torch of Learning (Gyan Mashal) to the organizer/founder of Gayatri Pariwar, Gayatri Mandir, Chicago (Smt. Kusumben C. Patel) to spread the message/ knowledge of Gurudev at world wide. This Gyan Mashal (Torch of learning) is established at the first Pragya Yug literature center in the world located at 2046, W. Devon Ave., Chicago, ILL.-60659. (773)-465-2533, where more than 3000 books (in different languages) by the Rev. Gurudev are also available. Interested peoples may contact Gayatri Pariwar: Chicago for getting books & other information.

On Guru purnima, all devotees of Gayatri Pariwar, Yugnirman Chicago solemnly pledged to acquire translation of each of pandit Shree Ram Sharma Acharya's 3000 books into as many languages as possible. Those able to translate from English, Hindi, or Gujarati into any of the world's languages are urged to come forward and help in this great task.

After the Mahaprayan (Willful Withdrawal) of Gurudev & Mataji the Lal Mashal (Red Torch)-symbol of the mission- will be the Symbolic Deity of the Gayatri Pariwar. The three important symbole of the mission include: Prakhar Pragya & Sajal Shradha (Gayatri Tapobhoomi), Akhand Deepak (Shantikunj) & Gyan Mashal (Chicago).
